Searching chat messages
Use Chat Search to quickly find messages, advice, and shared content in your chats.
Updated Oct 6, 2026
Can you add a search function to the chat?
Yes — Chat Search is available in the Ladder iOS app (version 4.2.0 and up).
Open any team chat or community group and tap the 🔍 icon. You can search by keyword or by author name, and filter by Coach Pins, Videos, Links, or Last 30 Days (filters can be combined). Your last 5 searches are saved per room.
Search covers all coach and admin messages, and teammate messages from the last 6 months or 10,000 messages, whichever is more. It isn't available in private DMs, on Apple Watch, or on the web yet.
Still stuck? Ask Maive.
Maive can check your account, fix the common stuff, and hand off to a real person when needed.
