What Ladder widgets are available? What does each widget do?

Ladder has 10 widgets total:

Workout widgets:

  • Today's Workout (Small) — today's scheduled workout, exercises, and completion. Tap to open.
  • Workout + Streak (Medium) — today's workout plus a calendar of completed workout days this month
  • Workout Streak (Small) — month-view calendar of completed workouts

Macro widgets (requires Ladder Nutrition):

  • Macro Tracker (Small) — calories and protein rings vs your targets
  • Macros + Log (Medium) — macro rings plus shortcuts to log by search, barcode, or voice

Water widgets (requires Ladder Nutrition):

  • Fill Your Bottle (Small) — fills as you log water, tap + to log from home screen
  • Water Streak (Small) — week-long view of daily hydration with checkmarks on goal days
  • Water + Quick Add (Medium) — weekly hydration view plus three customizable quick-add buttons

Steps widgets (requires Apple Health):

  • Steps Counter (Small) — today's step count and distance vs yesterday. Default 10,000 step goal.
  • Steps Race Track (Medium) — same data, displayed as a race track oval
My widget is blank, showing a placeholder, or disappeared from my home screen.

If your widget is blank:

  • Macro or Water widgets: Ladder Nutrition isn't activated. Open Ladder → Nutrition tab → complete onboarding.
  • Steps widgets: Apple Health isn't connected. Open Ladder → Settings → Connections → Apple Health.
  • Just installed the app: Give it a few minutes to sync.
  • Still blank: Contact support with a screenshot of the issue.

If your widget disappeared: It was likely removed accidentally. Re-add it by long-pressing your home screen → + icon → search Ladder → pick your widget.

If you can't find Ladder widgets in the gallery: Make sure you're on the latest app version (App Store → search Ladder → update if available), then force close the app and restart your phone.

Do Ladder widgets work on iPad? Can I add them to my Lock Screen or StandBy?

Right now, Ladder widgets are iPhone home screen only. Lock Screen, StandBy, and iPad widget support are on our roadmap for a future release.

How do I change my step goal?

Open Ladder → Manage Goals → tap Edit in the top right → adjust your step goal. You can set it in 500-step increments. The default goal is 10,000 steps.
